Extraordinary Ministers of the Eucharist
Men and women of the parish who are fully initiated, 16 years or older, chosen by the pastor and staff assist in the distribution of Holy Communion, under both species, at Mass. In addition, they may take communion to those parishioners in the hospital, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, as well as those who are homebound.
After a series of workshops that include prayerful and intellectual preparation, the pastor will commission those selected as an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist to St. Elizabeth Ann Seton only.

The ministry of the lector calls for a person to grow in a warm and loving knowledge of Scripture, the living work of God. He or she is invited to enter in to a relationship with a Word that is creative, powerful and effective.

Parishioners at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton have the opportunity to experience a variety of music in their worship. All of our choirs are of voluntary participation. The music ministry’s goal is to enhance the glorification of God through music. All individuals who would like to audition are invited to schedule an appointment for an interview by contacting the music ministry.

On a scheduled basis the sacristans set up the sanctuary for all Masses: daily, weekend, funerals, weddings, etc. They prepare all vessels and elements used in the Mass, light the candles, change and launder the altar linens, and the linens used in the Mass proper. The sacristans are responsible to return the items to their place properly.

Our volunteer donut and coffee servers take time after the celebration of Mass on Sunday mornings to serve those who have assembled for services. We strive to help build our Christian community in the spirit of Christian hospitality affording you the opportunity to get to know your fellow parishioners in a casual and friendly setting. Volunteers serve 1½ hours per month and meet at 9:00 am the last Sunday of the month on the Veranda.

Ushers and greeters are considered ministers of hospitality. They are usually the first people that parishioners and visitors meet as thy gather for the Celebration of the Mass, Evening Prayer, or other special celebrations. Ushers greet people and assist in seating people. They make sure that the church is cleaned and that the pews are straightened and in order for the next mass.
