Glenn Smith Keynotes Catholic Charismatic Conference
The annual diocesan Catholic Charismatic Conference is Jan. 27-29 at St. Catherine Parish in Orange Park and this year’s keynote presenter is Glenn Smith of LAMP Ministries based in Bronx, N.Y.
The theme of this year’s conference is “I Have Called You by Name!” from Isaiah 43:1 and will feature a number of talks, workshops, eucharistic adoration, praise and worship. Early registration for the conference ends Jan. 10 and costs $20 a person or $25 at the door. There is no charge for clergy, religious brothers and sisters, seminarians and youth age 18 or younger.
Glenn Smith has served in full time evangelism in Ann Arbor, Mich. and at inner-city parishes in New York. He currently assists his wife, Maeve, in an inner-city parish in Albany, N.Y. and is active with in the national “40 Days for Life” campaign.
Other presenters include evangelist Tom Edwards of St. Augustine, Fla., Jean Roach, a pastoral leader and intercessory prayer group leader, and Mary Shaw of Gainesville, a lay international missionary and member of the Marian Servants of the Blessed Sacrament.
