Governor Rick Scott Authorized Execution Date for Manuel Valle
Florida Governor Rick Scott has authorized a new execution date for Manuel Valle. The State of Florida will execute Valle on Wednesday, Sept. 28 at 4 p.m. for the killing of Coral Gables Police Officer, Louis Pena, 33 years ago.Manuel Valle still has an appeal pending in Federal court in Jacksonville and the U.S. Supreme Court. The date of Sept. 28 is the beginning of Rosh Hashanah. See related story from National Catholic Reporter.
