Twenty-fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

My Dear Friends,

It was such a joy to meet all of you last weekend. I want to thank you for your warm welcome and your words of encouragement! I look forward to journeying with you for many years to come!

As we journey together please know that I will lift you up daily in my prayers and I ask that you please do the same for me. As I mentioned last weekend and as Cardinal Dolan is fond of saying, “our faith is meant to be joyful!” Let us resolve ourselves to be people who live joyfully the faith we profess! Yes, there will be hard times and challenges along the way, indeed our Lord himself reminds us that if one wants to follow him, then he must “deny himself, take up our cross and follow me!”

May the Lord bless our journey together and my Mary, our most Blessed Mother intercede for us! St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, patroness of our parish, pray for us!

Fr. Jason
