Steubenville Conferences are specialized to address the needs of today's Catholic youth. With an exciting lineup of speakers, musicians and presenters, the High School Youth Conferences challenge Catholic youth to stand firm in their faith, to rely upon the awesome power of Jesus Christ as their guide, friend and Savior, and to show them that faith to the world. This is a high-energy youth conference where thousands of teens are invited to encounter Jesus Christ through dynamic speakers, engaging music, the Sacraments, small group discussions, and fellowship with other teens.
In addition to three days of amazing speakers, teens will have opportunities for worship, adoration, and confession, while enjoying fellowship with hundreds of other teens who share the same Catholic faith.
COMMUNITY
Every teen wants to belong, yet lies fill their heads convincing them that they don’t. The pace of life, the pressure of society, and the digital landscape are constantly reminding them of how they fail to measure up, and all of those things can add up to a sense of unworthiness. So, how do you counter this rising tide of isolation? Imagine a teen, regardless of sin or doubt, finding themselves among a sea of thousands of their peers. Beyond performance, they slowly find the freedom to breathe, experiencing that they are actually loved as they are, where they are. At home among the broken, they begin to taste the hope that fills the room as music and the message break out. Apprehension begins to fade, something shifts in the heart when they realize the hope that they hear is Christ – and the home that they see is His Church – and that this is where they belong.
ENCOUNTER
Belonging leads to encounter. That’s why we take every step we can think of to create a welcoming environment and sense of community at every Life Teen hosted Steubenville Conference. Our hope – and your investment – lies in the model Jesus left us, that belief grows out of belonging. Jesus welcomed the outcast, the doubter, and the sinner and it was through that welcoming that they encountered the Savior, and faith was born.
Our goal is to set the stage for a life-changing encounter with Christ through an authentic environment of community. We want to work alongside your parish to make sure that every teen knows that they are not only wanted, but are an irreplaceable part of these events. We trust that through this sense of belonging, grace will be allowed to move and faith will begin to grow.
This year's conference is Friday, June 27th through Sunday, June 29th, 2025.
We will leave SEAS at approximately 12 pm on Friday the 27th. We will leave Orlando at approximately 1 pm on Sunday and stop for lunch, arriving back at SEAS at approximately 4 pm.
Teens who are currently in 8th grade through teens currently in 12th grade can attend the Steubenville, Florida conference!
We will ride together on the SEAS bus. It can accomodate 35 passengers. One of our chaperones, Dan Feagle, works for the St Johns County Fire Department and has a valid CDL license and will drive the bus. If our group is larger than what we can fit on the bus we will organize a car pool with our adult chaperones.
The conference is held at the beautiful (and HUGE) Rosen Shingle Creek Resort, in Orlando, Florida. We will stay at this hotel -- the conference is held here as well so we won't leave the resort once we arrive. You can check out photos of the hotel by clicking here.
Teens will stay in hotel rooms with two queen size beds in each room (4 teens to a room). Our adult chaperones will be 2 to a room.
CONSUMED 2025
This year's them is "Consumed". “For the Lod, your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.” – Deuteronomy 4:24

If you have a Catholic teen, you’ve probably heard about the Catholic youth conferences sponsored by the Franciscan University of Steubenville. In fact, your youth group may be planning a trip to a Steubenville Youth Conference. If you’re wondering what these conferences are all about and whether your child should attend, read on.
I just got back from one (Steubenville Rochester, chaperoning two of my kids, and other kids from the town), and I would very much encourage it. I was impressed! Here is a list of what I liked best:
So, there’s a lot to like about these conferences, and I could probably list even more. I was especially moved at the end of the conference when one of the speakers asked if women willing to discern the religious life, and then men, would come to the front of the auditorium for a prayer. The number of young people willing to make that move was impressive, especially since the focus of the conference was not on vocations but on presenting the Christian life more generally.
There are a few things parents should know, not to prevent them from going (generally), but as an FYI:
If your kids want to go, I would encourage them. If you want to see what it is about, volunteer to chaperone a group.
"This conference was a big game-changer for me, for my whole life - everything, really. My Mom signed me up without me knowing, and then dropped me off as the bus was leaving. I was so mad at her. The last thing I wanted to do was to go on some 'religious retreat'. 48 hours later, after coming home off the bus after the Conference, there was nothing I could've done for or said to my Mom to express how grateful I was for having gone on this trip. I know Jesus Christ now, I know His love for me, I know how much I'm worth to Him. I honestly can't wait to go back next year." - Youth Conference Participant
"The Conference allowed me to experience Christ for the first time. Throughout the weekend I experienced Him, and all the love and grace He has for me and for everyone else. Because of the conference I have become more devoted to Christ and fallen deeper in love with my faith." -Youth Conference Participant
"The Steubenville Conference changed my heart. I realized the importance of growing in my relationship with God, on my own time, through prayer. That is what gives us the strength to share our love of God with others." - Youth Conference Participant
